ART CLUB
DATES & TIME: Thursday’s, 3:30-5:30pm, January 11 to April 12, 2018.
(No classes: February 22, or March 15).
GRADES 1-6, exceptions with instructor approval.
LOCATION: The Art Room at Poland Community School
COST: Register before first session = $145.00 (All 12 Sessions).
Register after first session = $14 number of remaining sessions .
DESCRIPTION:
Students will work in an environment that encourages individual experimentation, exploration, innovation, and personal expression. Students may work independently or in small groups. Instructor, Jonathan Graffius, will provide individual project direction, art coaching & feedback. There will also be group reflections & critiques and students will be assisted in documenting their artwork in a digital format.
Students should be self-motivated, capable of working independently, willing to receive feedback, and eager to take creative risks & to give their best effort.
DETAILS:
*Basic materials are included, but some students may request additional materials depending on their individual interests and personal goals.
*There may be some financial assistance available, please contact the instructor for details.
*Students should bring a water bottle and snacks. Kids are really hungry after school.
*Unless previous arrangements have been made, students must be picked up by 5:30pm. Contact the instructor to discuss possible accommodations.
*The Art room is a Peanut/Nut Free environment.
*The school Nurse is not available after school.
*Art Club will be canceled whenever school is closed or whenever after-school events are cancelled. (If possible, the canceled session will be made up the following Friday).
*Refunds will not be given for missed classes. However, the instructor will help the student try get caught up.
*Number of participants: minimum 10, maximum 15-20 depending upon additional staffing.
