Dependent on the number of participants we may need to combine levels to make a team or teams. FYI: Cheering is a physically challenging sport which requires lifting other participants, tumbling and constant movement. You may want to consider consulting a physician prior to participation.
General Information: Who: Our youth competition cheering program is a tri-town program for boys/ girls in grades Pre-K - 8 for residents of Mechanic Falls, Minot & Poland.
What:Our focus is to develop basic motions, stunting and dance at each age level. The difference in divisions is based on age and stunting level. All of our coaches are encouraged to be AACCA certified and CPR/ First aid trained. While our coaches are volunteers; we cannot mandate/ guarantee these certifications.
Our teams will focus on developing routines to compete in local competitions.
When:Due to the nature of this sport, the season operates November - March; consisting of 1-2 practices per week and approximately 5-7 competitions depending on the division.
This program requires all it's participants to be present at all practices in order for the routines to be a success. If your child is ill; you must call the coach to inform them of their absence. Stunting and formation makes this sport difficult to function without all team members.
Participation in this program includes, practices, family and friends night, father/daughter fundraiser, and several competitions, including our hosting of the Poland Spirit Invitational.
Parents are expected to help out with the father/daughter ball and cheering competition.Participants are responsible for finding white laced sneakers.
