Global Art Adventure - Fall 2025

Hello, Bonjour and welcome! I am excited to return to PCS for the Fall Art Club! It will be an all new exciting Global Art Adventure!

Art classes are for grades 1-6, broken up as follows: 

1st-3rd (8 week session)
4th-6th (8 week session) 

GRADES 1-3
This Fall, we’ll travel the world through art—exploring different countries, cultures, festivals, and artists, and create meaningful and imaginative art projects
Children will paint, collage, stencil, sculpt, and construct using a wide variety of materials and techniques. Each week brings a new adventure!
Projects may include-3D Spooky Halloween House, National Elephant Day Art, Diwali Clay Sculpture, Fall Leaves in a Garden Art, Georgia O’Keeffe Watercolor Painting, etc. Explore lots of different materials, techniques and learn new skills. This program encourages hands-on creativity, skill-building, and cultural discovery while having fun! Every session offers new adventures and brand-new art creations. Let’s discover the world one art adventure at a time!

DATES (Tuesdays):
September 16th, 23rd & 30th
October 7th, 14th & 28th
November 4th & 18th
Make up dates:  December 2nd & 9th
TIME: 3:30pm - 4:45pm
DURATION: 1 hour 15 minutes, 8-week session
Minimum number of students = 8
Max number of students = 15 
COST: $226
($27 per student/per class + $10 to the Recreation Dept. )
This includes design prep, art materials & instruction

PAYMENT:  Check payable to: "Town of Poland"  
drop off to Poland Recreation Dept at:
1231 Maine St., Poland, ME
A drop box is located directly to the left of the office entrance.
Can also pay via credit card in your account- 2.5% charge.

Hello, Bonjour & Welcome! Little Artists is back for an all new and exciting Global Art Adventure Fall Session! Perfect for students who have great skills, think creatively, welcome challenges to create more advanced projects! Must LOVE ART and be willing to follow Art Club Rules.

Please note that this class is now geared to 4th-6th graders.
Together, we’ll continue to explore countries, cultures, festivals, and artists from around the world—transforming what we learn into amazing works of art. Children will draw, paint, stamp, create stencils, design, sculpt, construct, weave, and build as they dive into hands-on, imaginative projects. Each session brings new adventures and all-new art projects. We’ll use a wide variety of materials and techniques while learning new skills and having tons of creative fun.
Projects may include-Vietnamese Moon Festival Art, African Harvest Masks, 3D Halloween Haunted House Art, Native American Art, Picasso Sculpture, Jasper Johns Numbers Painting, etc. Discover the world one art adventure at a time!

October 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th
November 6th & 13th

The Global Art Adventure Program is planned prior to the start of classes. Much of the prep work is completed ahead of time and all art materials for students purchased. 

Cancellation/Refunds - All Cancellations MUST be in writing
7 Days prior to the start of 1st class = Full Refund
Cancelling after 1st class = 75% Refund of total amount
Cancelling after 2nd class = 50% Refund of total amount
If you cancel after the 3rd class, NO REFUND will be issued. 
A partial refund may be considered if extenuating family circumstances arise. 

Art Club will be cancelled when school is closed, or after school activities are cancelled. Susan Bevil will notify families via email and text. 

ART CLUB RULES
Art Club Rules are in place so everyone has the opportunity to have fun, use lots of different materials, learn new techniques, be creative and enjoy the project instruction for that day, free from distraction.
- Please use appropriate language and have respectful behavior in class towards other students, teacher, and art materials.
- Please clean up your area when finished with your project. When finished, you may free draw or work on another small project with left over materials if time.
- No texting or using phones, during class unless in an emergency or given
permission.
- For safety at dismissal time, let’s all please leave the room together as a group.


ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Susan Bevil, creator of Little Artists is a passionate, fun NY Art Educator/Mixed Media Artist and new resident of Poland. A graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology and School of Visual Arts in NYC with over 20 years’ experience teaching her unique Art Enrichment Program, called “Global Art Adventure”. She brings her knowledge and passion for art and graphic design to each project she creates, giving children a creative learning experience.
