What is Camp Connor?
Camp Connor is a 9-week day camp located on Connor Lane. in Poland, Maine.
The camp rests on 12 acres of land that includes our main building, restrooms, playground, newly built camp shelter, a beach area, large playing field and peninsula.
GRADES: 1st-8th (Fall of 2026)
NOTE - Where we open registration in January, we have Kindergarten listed as the minimum grade. This is only to allow those entering 1st grade in the Fall to be able to register before grades automatically move up in June.
A DAY AT CAMP
- Campers can attend 1 week, or the entire 9 weeks. You choose!
- The majority of camper's time will be spent alternating through small and large group activities on-site utilizing our recreational facilities including outdoor life skills, team building, sports and games, performing arts, kayaking, swimming, etc...
- All campers have an opportunity to swim daily (weather permitted). Any campers that choose not to swim; an alternate activity will be planned. Swimming area is staffed by fully trained personnel.
- Each week has a special theme with different specialized activities, which may include on-site guests and a Friday afternoon party.
- All campers will have the opportunity to develop connections with same-aged peers, older/younger campers and our super awesome staff!

CAMP FEES
Poland Residents
$210 per week (1st child), $190 per week (2nd child), $170 (3rd child or more)
Non-Residents
$230 per week (1st child), $210 per week (2nd child), $190 (3rd child or more)
IMPORTANT - Camp fees are due for each week in full TWO WEEKS prior to when that camp week starts. Full amount is not due at the time of registration (see deposit required to secure your spot), although you are more than welcome to pay in advance. Your child will not be able to attend camp until the balances for each registered week is paid in full prior to when it begins.
DEPOSITS
We require a $20 deposit per week/per child to secure their spot at camp. Deposits are due no later than 30 days after you register.
All deposits must be paid by May 1st.
After May 1st, deposits will be due at the time of registration.
If you wish to pay the deposit at the time of registration (subject to a 3% processing fee), at the very end of your registration on the payment page, the amounts for each week of camp is editable. You can change the amount to $20 for each line item and pay the deposit at that time.
Deposits are still required if you receive a Campership.

CAMP HOURS
Camp is open 7am-5:30pm
Recommended drop off hours: between 7am-10am
Pick Up: no later than 5:30pm
(A late fee of $10 will be charged if camper is picked up after 5:30pm)
PARTICIPANT LIMIT
We cap at 115 campers per week. When camp weeks get full, please reach out to Vanessa to have your child(ren) be put on the waitlist for the weeks you wish for them to attend.

We anticipate the majority of our staff returning!
MEALS
We will not be able to participate in the Summer Food Program through RSU16 like in years past. We ask that you pack your child a healthy lunch and plenty of snacks.
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
Since our newly built camp structure was put in at camp in 2022, we have reduced the number of days in which we've had to cancel camp due to weather.
In the event we have to cancel camp, we will notify all families via the Band app, email and text as soon as possible. In 2024 we cancelled 1 day of camp.
NEW TO CAMP?
If your child has never attended camp, we will be offering an Open House sometime in June so you and your child get an opportunity to see our campus, meet the Camp Director and a few of our amazing staff!

PAYMENT OPTIONS
At the end of your registration you will have two options:
"Check out Online" (on the left)
"Print a Pre-Registration Form" (on the right)
By clicking on the Print a Pre-Registration Form, a notification will come to our office and we will complete your registration for you. Your child(ren)'s spot is NOT secure until your deposit is paid
If you check-out online, this pays your balance in FULL. You will be charged a 3% processing fee for all credit card transactions.
If you choose to Print a Pre-Registration Form, you must select "Yes" on the next page to complete your registration!
If you don't confirm on the next page, your items will sit in your cart for 24 hours then disappear.
You can pay by cash or check in our office if you choose the option on the right (Print Pre-Registration form). You do not have to actually print your form. We will receive a confirmation email once you've registered. Once we have completed your registration, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your registration is not complete.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
In order to officially cancel any camp weeks, you MUST notify our Recreation office using one of the following:

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE CANCELLATION REQUESTS TO CAMP CONNOR STAFF
PRIOR TO MAY 1st:
If you have paid for camp and need to cancel any week(s), we will refund you your full amount minus a $10 cancellation fee per week/per child.
MAY 1st-14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE REGISTERED CAMP WEEK:
If you have only paid for your deposit for any week in which you wish to cancel, you will not get your deposit back. If you've paid in full, you will be refunded your full amount minus your $20 deposit.
WITHIN 7-14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE REGISTERED CAMP WEEK:
If you cancel within 7-14 days of when your child(ren) are registered to start, we will issue you a refund minus your $20 deposit IF we are able to fill your child(ren)'s spot. If we are unable to fill their spot, you will be charge charged 50% of the registration fee.
WITHIN 7 DAYS TO THE START OF THE REGISTERED CAMP WEEK:
If you have to cancel your child(ren)s camp registration within 7 days of when that camp week starts, we will issue you a refund minus the $20 deposit ONLY if we are able to fill your child(ren)s spot. If we are unable to fill their spot, you will be charged the full registration fee.
WEEK OF CAMP:
If you cancel the same week your child(ren) is/are registered, we will not have time to fill their spot, therefore you will not be issued a refund.
If you would like to switch any of your camp weeks to an alternate week, you may do so without penalty IF there is space available to accommodate your child(ren).
CAMPERSHIP - Poland Residents ONLY
Thanks to the generous contributions from a Poland family we are continuing our scholarship program for Poland children to be able to attend Camp Connor at a reduced rate.
To qualify, Poland residents must receive "free" lunch through their school. Once your Campership application is received, we will verify eligibility through the RSU16 Food Director.
NOTE - Poland home schooled children can apply as well, with the understanding that financial information will need to be provided to verify need. Please reach out to our office for more info.

Campership will be awarded to families starting March 2nd. We will consider a maximum Campership of $140 off per week of camp, up to 6 weeks. The overall community need and available funding will determine how many weeks/campers we can provide a Campership for.
NON-RESIDENTS:
For non-Poland residents, we apologize we cannot extend our Campership to your children. We encourage you to visit local businesses within the town you reside and see if a local business would be willing to sponsor your child to attend a week or so of camp. We have a brochure available to share with you if you'd like to pursue this option. Please stop into our office during business hours.
THEME WEEKS
Week 1 (June 22nd - June 26th): Splash into Summer!
Let's start off summer with a splash! We're bringing the "beach" to camp for a week of wet and wild fun. Campers will enjoy lots of water games and activities, ocean themed crafts and even some fun water inflatables. We will end our week with a Luau party. It's sure to be a week of sun-sational fun!
Week 2 (June 29th - July 3rd): Festive Fiesta
Get ready for the most wonderful time of the year! From spooky Halloween fun, to Easter hunts and even Jolly Holidays; campers will dive into a world of festive fun. There will be themed games and seasonal surprises all week long, culminating in a Red, White and Blue celebration and cookout to end the week. Campers will be sure to make memories that are merry, bright and unforgettable.
Week 3 (July 6th - July10th): Where the Wild Things Are
Come join us for a week that is all about animals. From everyday pets, barnyard critters and more! Campers will engage in animal themed games, crafts and activities, as well as a variety of furry visitors and encounters throughout the week. This week includes a camp-wide field trip for even more animal adventure!
Week 4 (July 13th - July 17th): Goals and Games
This week is an action packed week full of hands-on sports and collaborative games, as well as board games, card games and more. To add to the challenge and fun, campers will participate in a week long event - The Camp Connor Olympics. Campers will earn points for their team and on Friday we have one final camp-wide competition and celebrate all our team accomplishments.
Week 5 (July 20th - July 24th): Magic and Mystery
Welcome to a week of magic, storytelling and wonderment. Games, puzzles, wizards and spies. Campers will be transported to other worlds and get to explore their imaginations, solve mysteries and go on missions too! In addition to games a crafts, campers will also look forward to a special guest and some other magical surprises.
Week 6 (July 27th - July 31st): Explore the Great Outdoors!
Get ready for a week of celebrating nature! Hiking, outdoor skills, nature art and s'mores! Campers will enjoy a week of learning about and engaging with nature. We will have a special guest or two and groups will have an opportunity to go on an age appropriate field trip.
Week 7 (August 3rd - August 7th): World Explorer
Join us as we travel around the world, exploring the 7 wonders and more. Campers will experience a different era and or location each day, end the week with a camp favorite - Gold Rush! This treasure island challenge brings everyone together for a super silly relay race against time (and pirate counselors) to collect treasure and see which team cn win the coveted Gold Rush trophy!
Week 8 (August 10th - August 14th): Superheroes and Idols
This week we celebrate our heroes! From real life superheroes in our community, to those that wear capes (or crowns) in movies and more. Campers can create their own alter egos, design costumes and engage in STEM challenges related to "powers". They will also meet some local heroes and more.
Week 9 (August 17th - August 21st): Lights, Camera, Action!
Get ready for a week of performances, music, art and creativity! From set and prop making, singing/dancing and more. There will be lots of fun and games, a special guest and on Friday campers will have an opportunity to share and celebrate each other at "Camp Connor's Got Talent!"
