Hello, Xin Chào, Hola, and Welcome!
I am excited to return to Poland Community School for the Fall Art Club and begin an all-new Global Art Adventure! This class is designed for students in Grades 1–6.
Together, we'll travel on an exciting and creative journey as we explore different countries, cultures, festivals, and artists from around the world. Along the way, students will create unique works of art while experimenting with a wide variety of materials and techniques, building confidence.
Children will paint, draw, collage, stencil, build, weave, print, and sculpt as they develop new artistic skills and express their creativity. Projects may include- 3D Leaf Painting Art, Weaving & Stamping a Paper Quilt, Clay Sculpture, Vietnamese Moon Festival Mask, Apple Stamping Art, Halloween Art, Mexican Celebration Art, and more!
Please read the Art Club Rules carefully and review them with your child before the first class. Thank you for your cooperation and support.

DATES (Tuesdays):
September 22nd & 29th
October 6th, 13th & 27th
November 3rd, 10th & 17th
Make up dates: November 24th and December 1st
TIME: 3:30pm - 4:45pm
DURATION: 1 hour 15 minutes, 8-week session
Minimum number of students = 8
Max number of students = 13
COST: $226
($27 per student/per class + $10 to the Recreation Dept. )
This includes design prep, art materials & instruction
PAYMENT: Check payable to: "Town of Poland"
Drop off to Poland Recreation Dept at:
1231 Maine St., Poland, ME
A drop box is located directly to the left of the office entrance.
Can also pay via credit card in your account- 3% charge.

*PLEASE NOTE *
The Global Art Adventure Program is planned prior to the start of classes. Much of the prep work is completed ahead of time and all art materials for students purchased.
Cancellation/Refunds - All Cancellations MUST be in writing
7 Days prior to the start of 1st class = Full Refund
Cancelling after 1st class = 75% Refund of total amount
Cancelling after 2nd class = 50% Refund of total amount
If you cancel after the 3rd class, NO REFUND will be issued.
A partial refund may be considered if extenuating family circumstances arise.
Art Club will be cancelled when school is closed, or after school activities are cancelled. Susan Bevil will notify families via email and text.
ART CLUB RULES
Art Club Rules are in place, so everyone can have fun, use lots of materials,
learn new techniques, be creative and enjoy the project instruction for that
day, free from distraction.
~Please use appropriate language and have respectful behavior in class
towards other students, teacher, and art materials. Please use art materials
appropriately.
~ Please clean up your area when finished with your project. Please put your
paint brushes in the sink and throw away garbage. When finished, you
may color or free draw or create a small project with left over materials.
~No texting or using phones during class unless in an emergency or
permission is given.
~ For safety at dismissal time, let’s all please leave the room together as a
group. If you need to leave earlier, please let the teacher know.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Susan Bevil, creator of Little Artists is a passionate, fun NY Art Educator/Mixed Media Artist and new resident of Poland. A graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology and School of Visual Arts in NYC with over 20 years’ experience teaching her unique Art Enrichment Program, called “Global Art Adventure”. She brings her knowledge and passion for art and graphic design to each project she creates, giving children a creative learning experience.
